Partners Jake and Pum Lefebure's Design Army is the perfect Bootcamp fit. Self-described as a “Good Ol' Boy” and a “Fashion Addict,” these two have built Design Army into one of the most recognized and award-winning creative firms on the East Coast. Their blend of design talent and business savvy combines to allow them to stretch their creative potential while still understanding and meeting client needs. Most recently featured in November's IN STEP Inside Design magazine, the company had five submissions selected for the 2007 Communication Arts Design Annual, the industry's premier catalog. How do you balance doing what you love with making a living and being true to yourself? The Lefebure's will give it to you straight.

Becky Mohr, Creative Services
and Marketing Agent

Aquent, Reston, Virginia

BootCamp's morning speaker, Becky Mohr, is a Creative Services and Marketing Agent at Aquent, the only global staffing company dedicated to marketing and creative services. She'll talk about what it takes to make the transition from the classroom to the boardroom (or at least to a desk you can call your own).

Becky graduated with a degree in Advertising from The University of Carolina’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She then worked briefly in Human Resources at ISM, a small full-service marketing agency in Boston before moving into account management at Hill Holiday, one of Boston’s largest advertising agencies. Becky says that while working on the CVS and Dunkin Donuts accounts at Hill Holiday she quickly learned that the “wonderful world of advertising” was not exactly everything her professors at UNC had taught.

In 2005 Becky joined Aquent as a Creative Recruiter, and since then has worked in Boston, Los Angeles, Washington DC, and northern Virginia. Her clients are advertising agencies, web design shops, and corporate creative departments, and have included, Arnold Worldwide, DDB Worldwide, EA Sports, Nestle, Freddie Mac, and NBC.com. Becky’s primary role is to match outstanding talent with outstanding jobs, so she spends her days interviewing and coaching talent like you on how to write a resume, how to interview, and how to present your portfolio.
